Design Wall Monday::Seven Sisters
Here is one finished Seven Sisters block. Phew! There are a lot of pieces in this one...
And I had to ask just how many pieces when this happened last night:
I was cutting some for another block and laying them out on the kitchen table when a breeze came in through the open window and blew everything all over the place. By the time I picked up all the pieces, I decided it would be a lot easier to just count them rather than try to lay them out each time.
Sixty-six pieces.
You can check out what others have been working on this week by clicking the link to Judy L.'s blog Patchwork Times. And once again, a big "thank you" to Judy for hosting this each week.

Oh, my! I admire quilters who make blocks with so many pieces. I seem to pick blocks with few pieces - the fewer the better - lol.
Should be a stunning quilt!
I love it. I can't wait to see the whole quilt done.e
I see at least 7 blocks... LOL! It’s a beautiful block!
No more lay-outs near open windows for you!?
You did a good job getting the Seven Sisters block together!
I am loving all of your updates on the 7 sisters blocks. I am just starting my daughters wedding canopy and using diamonds. All of your updates have been helpful and spurred me on. Difference is....I'm machine piecing.
You've got something real nice going on with this project. Wish we'd had a nice breeze last night here in San Diego. It was hot, darn hot. We aren't used to 97 on the coast at 5:30p (or any other time of the day). Glad today brought a cooler one and tomorrow we should be back to our normal mid 70s. Yep we are spoiled.
Seven Sisters is one of my all-time favorite blocks, and this is a beauty.
I like diamonds too! Good job on piecing that block. I think it is time to revive some of the old, beautiful patterns. Yes, they take extra time to make, but they are so stunning - so worth the extra effort. Cheers! Evelyn
